Facility

Cheyenne Mountain High School:

backs up to the Stratton Open Space, which has an abundance of hiking trails, magnificent views, and this amazing campus can accommodate 1400 students. FUN CAMP is excited to call CMHS home base.

Stratton Open Space Trails: After making walking sticks in arts and crafts activities, campers will enjoy the wilderness while hiking to the reservoir that is located less than one mile from the high school. Safe exploration is one of the most beneficial experiences a child can ever experience. Me thinks that the moment my legs begin to move, my thoughts begin to flow--Henry David Thoreau

Walking gets the feet moving, the mind moving. And movement is life-- Carrie Latet

In every walk through nature one receives far more than he seeks--John Muir

Stadium:

We utilize the track for our ALL camp meetings and this facility houses the bouncy and carnival activities. However, the track is most notable for the public address system that is FUN to use for the dancing with the entire camp and announcing the water balloon fight.

Lower Fields:

Used extensively for frisbee golf, boom ball, kickball, soccer and all of the sporting activities.

Aquatics Center: (aquatic center use is based on yearly repair schedule of the school district, use is not guaranteed year to year).

One of the nicest pools in Colorado Springs, we are pleased to be able to utilize one of summers greatest activities--swimming. Certified lifeguards are on duty at all times during FUN CAMP. In fact, we over staff the pool to assure proper supervision. (Pool schedule is subject to change due to other scheduled events.  Water games will be offered if the pool is unavailable on any given day.)

Main Gym & Aux Gym

We will use the gyms for indoor games and activities as well as movie time.

Gold Camp Playground

During a few afternoons, we take a short hike up the Gold Camp Elementary School playground for some extra fun.
